New office opened in Singapore

Baxcounsel continues to grow internationally by expanding its own-office network. A new office has been opened in Singapore to offer cost effective services & support our clients’ interest in the south-east Asian region including Malaysia, Indonesia & Thailand. Initially the office will focus on our clients in the Oil & Gas sector for QA/QC as well as project expediting; and then expand to cover other sectors including steel plants, power sector & other core infrastructure activities.

Baxcounsel opened an office in Dubai, UAE in 2005 with a view to support our clients’ requirements in the Middle East region. Over the last ten years, we have carried out several assignments for clients such as KNPC, Petrofac UAE, JGC, Japan, J-Gulf, John Zink, KobelCo, M.W.Kellogg’s,Technip in countries including Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE & Bahrain. Special highlights including resident inspection activities for the Pearl GTL (Gas to Liquid) project for Qatar Petroleum, critical inspections on behalf of the Saudi ARAMCO refinery through our specially ARAMCO approved engineers; successful execution of prestigious assignments such as the Dolphin Project of JGC.

One of our most interesting and challenging assignments recently was assisting Mumbai based Karina Tourism & Adventures to construct a 39 meter, 4-deck marine vessel the “Infiniti” and to ensure it achieves IACS classing. The assignment included managing all aspects of the project, from vessel design as per client requirements, arranging detailed drawings, construction of the all-steel hull and structure at a shipyard in Phuket, Thailand, all procurement and systems installation. The project was inspected at every stage first by Baxcounsel engineers and then by RINA.
