Baxcounsel successfully achieves building of a marine vessel “Infiniti” in Thailand, to IACS class

Posted On February 22, 2015 By admin-2

One of our most interesting and challenging assignments recently was assisting Mumbai based Karina Tourism & Adventures to construct a 39 meter, 4-deck marine vessel the “Infiniti” and to ensure it achieves IACS classing. The assignment included managing all aspects of the project, from vessel design as per client requirements, arranging detailed drawings, construction of the all-steel hull and structure at a shipyard in Phuket, Thailand, all procurement and systems installation. The project was inspected at every stage first by Baxcounsel engineers and then by RINA.

The project was completed well within a tight timeframe of 18 months and successfully achieved RINA certification for “unrestricted navigation in the open sea”. The Infiniti has been operating for three years now in the sea of Andaman Islands, cruising in all sea conditions and hosting travellers from all over the world for internationally acclaimed & unique tourism operations. See www.InfinitiLiveAboard.com for more details of the vessel.
